Keys.bin For Psx Games

Posted on  by admin

Hi everyone, I'm just finishing setting up my RetroPie for the first time and have been working on my PS1 files, and am running into a little difficulty. Hoping you guys can help. PSXC-Rearmed runs the.BIN files fine for my PS1 games, but I wanted to convert them to PBP files, especially for multi-disc games. Ipad pro printer setup.

  2. All Psx Games

I downloaded PSX2PSP 1.4.2 this morning and converted both FFVII and Castlevania SOTN to test. When I try to launch them in RetroPie it tries to start the emulator and then sends me back to the main game list screen. I confirmed that the essystems.cfg file has both.PBP and.pbp listed. If it helps at all, the BIOS I have for PS1 games is SCPH1001.BIN. I also renamed the file from EBOOT.PBP to the game name (So Final Fantasy VII.PBP).

Psx bin to iso

For PSX do you need the bin file or just the cue? For multi-disc games you may have better luck using PSP Eboots since they put all of the discs into one file. You must have custom firmware and u can download a psp version at tons of places (pspower.us is good) then the folder the eboots in there should be a keys.bin, but if u have an iso just convert it.

I placed the files in the /roms/psx folder, no subfolder. I also wanted to test on my PC if the PBP files I created are even any good, but I'm not sure what emulator to use to do that. It seems like others have been able to successfully do this so I must be doing something wrong, or missing a step. Any help is greatly appreciated.
